I love the art of turning ideas into tangible images. For the past 12 years I've shot a wide range of projects from documentary to commercial, each with their own challenges and opportunities.
I was born on the stormy coast of Oregon and raised by wolves and salmon on a remote Alaskan island.
Thanks to my dad's love of photography I was surrounded with all the right toys growing up. I assisted in the darkroom, and learned the magic of watching images appear under the glow of the safe light. The early exposure to image-making stuck with me.
After moving to Seattle I worked at a small advertising agency producing web content, video and photo projects, and spent innumerable late nights in edit suites. Because of this knowledge, I believe I'm a better cinematographer now.
I currently live in New York.
